About the event
Amana Colonies Maifest welcomes spring each year with German music, dancing and a parade through the villages; the 2026 edition ran May 2 and 3, with the parade starting at 10 am from Amana Farms on 220th Trail. The weekend features Maipole Dancers at village stops, live bands at the Festhalle Barn and Millstream Brewing Co., a food truck fair, and a $5 Wine and Beer Walk on Sunday. The next Maifest is planned for April 30 through May 2, 2027.
