About the event
The Front Festival 2026 is a multi-day cultural arts event produced by Future Front Texas in Austin, celebrating ten years of the festival. Running from August 27–30, 2026, it features events including an Opening Night Swim with a DJ, an Independent Music Night at Swan Dive spotlighting women and LGBTQ+ musicians in rap, R&B, and experimental hip-hop, an Independent Film Night showcasing 12 films by women and LGBTQ+ directors, and a Closing Pool Party. The festival is produced in partnership with the Red River Cultural District and The Contemporary Austin.
