Gettysburg wouldn’t be the same without its incredible reenactor community. Visitors throughout the year are fascinated not only by the sight of reenactors in period dress, but by the chance to talk with you, ask questions, and learn firsthand about the past. Whether you’re taking part in the annual battle reenactment at the Daniel Lady Farm or setting up a living history encampment on the lawn at the Heritage Center, you bring history to life in a way that is both educational and unforgettable. For many guests, those conversations and demonstrations become the highlight of their visit. Reenactor Appreciation Weekend has been a Gettysburg tradition for more than 20 years in one form or another.
