The Lilac Festival Poster Contest is an annual contest celebrating creativity, inviting artists from across the country to showcase their love for Mackinac Island and interpret that year's theme through different artistic mediums. The winning design is proudly displayed throughout the island during the Lilac Festival. The 2027 poster contest will open in the fall with submissions due early February. More details can be found below. Artists are invited to submit artwork for the Lilac Festival Poster Contest and a Peoples’ Choice Award. Artists may submit one piece of artwork for a $20 entry fee. The entry fee is used to support the poster contest and the Lilac Festival. The winning poster will be announced on Opening Day of the 2027 tourism season.
