About the event
Support the MAC and our efforts to be a place of community, connection and care. A gathering place for artists, where redwoods meet the ocean on Coastal Pomo land. This exhibit of diasporic Rotuman art re-contemplates the future with traditional Polynesian hand chiseling on a variety of rare woods. Belly of the Fire features works by: Emma Eckert, Sam Hill, Rino Kodama, David Lyon, Wolfgang Obergin, Collyn Rayne, and Brandon Steele. Join us for a weeklong Plein Air Festival on coastal Pomo land. Participate in a showcase with a generous gallery display. Take part in daily wet paint sales, and a Quick Draw event followed by a celebratory awards presentation with cash prizes.
