Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. The Independence Seaport Museum features an active boat shop that is dedicated to the skills and traditions of wooden boat building and sailing in the Delaware Valley and New Jersey. Open to the public, visitors can interact with staff and volunteers as they work on various projects. We offer Table Saw Talks for all ages featuring monthly updates on current projects and visiting speakers as well as our Seaport Shipwrights program where teens can learn about hull design, hydrodynamics, and gain experience working in a...
