About the event

We acknowledge we are hosted on the lands of the Mississaugas of the Anishinaabe, the Haundenosaunee Confederacy and the Wendat. We also recognize the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and the Inuit peoples on this land. Arepas! Sancocho! The soft launch of Sorauren Farmers’ Market’s CULTURAL BOUNTY DAYS initiative celebrated Venezuelean cuisine this past Monday. Highlighting underrepresented foodways and cultural traditions, the project will officially launch in 2025 and was made possible thanks to the Carrot Cache. Check out the herb and native pollinator bed we put in next to the pizza oven in Sorauren Park. Just like our farmers, we love putting our hands into the earth!
