Founded in 1993, the Benicia Certified Farmers Market bills itself as the largest independently operated farmers market in Solano County. It runs Thursday evenings on First Street between B and D Streets in downtown Benicia, from April through October, and is currently accepting applications from local farmers, food vendors and makers for the 2026 season.

Since its modest beginnings in 1963 with just a handful of antique dealers outside St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, this volunteer-run event has grown into a massive outdoor fair featuring 300 select dealers from across the country. Spanning 11 blocks of the historic town, the fair offers a treasure trove of items, including period furniture, vintage textiles, pottery, jewelry, and more. Alongside the antiques, peddlers offer everything from toys to tapestries, and food vendors serve up treats like kettle corn, hot dogs, and shaved ice. With the scenic backdrop of the Carquinez Strait and the charming shops and cafes along First Street, the Benicia Peddlers Fair is more than just a market—it’s a celebration of community, history, and craftsmanship.
