Celebrate fall in Michigan’s Little Bavaria during Scarecrow Fest, with a fun family-friendly festival at Frankenmuth River Place Shops and special scarecrow displays throughout downtown Frankenmuth!Taking place across two weekends in October, Scarecrow Fest includes special fall-themed activities for everyone in the family.𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 on October 17-18 is set up to be a BLAST! With 6 performances from the Rock N Roll K9 team — 3 shows on Saturday at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm & Sunday at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm.Saturday and Sunday both weekends from noon – 6 pm, try your hand at the pumpkin launcher and see how far you can launch a pumpkin! Other fun fall-themed activities include pumpkin bowling, arts and crafts, pumpkin painting, and riding Grandpa Tiny’s Barrel Train! Some activities have a small fee; there is no entry fee for the Scarecrow Fest event.On Sunday, October 18, the doggiecostume contest is at 4:30 pm on the Fest Platz Stage. Pre-registration is required for the contest from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hello Cats and Dogs located at River Place ShopsFollowing the costume contest, there is a doggie pet trick-or-treating throughout the complex from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 24-25, with even more family fun!A Kids Trick or Treating will be held on Sunday, October 26 throughout the complex from 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm starting at the Fest Platz – kids will be able to trick-or-treat from each store.Both days enjoy FREE Family Entertainment with Jon LaChance at 1:30pm, 3:00pm and 4:30pm! Celebrate the spirit of the season and be dazzled by a magic performance from Jon LaChance - his show features impossible magic, side-splitting comedy, and audience involvement! Saturday will play host to a number of events happening through town including the Kindertag Parade & Cornhole Tournament. Rock Tent will still be rocking until midnight this night, too! The Friday Night Street Party is going to fill Main Street with bands, beverages, games, and a zip line. Head over to the Rock Tent (located behind Tiffany's) and party until midnight! Join us Thursday evening for the raising of the Maypole with music, opening ceremonies, and keg tapping in the Main Tent afterwards. The tents are closed on Sunday so everyone can enjoy the one and only Bavarian Festival Parade. Thursday kicks off the festival with the maibaum raising ceremony, maibaum dancers, Bavarian Festival princess announcement, opening ceremonies, and keg tapping in the main tent.
