VC Farmers Market (Saturdays, June 13 - Sept 26) - Valley City Community Group The Valley City Farmers Market is celebrating 20 years! The Farmers Market was started in 2007 by the late Tom Neff, whose vision was to create a place where local gardeners and farmers could sell their products and connect with the community. This season marks the market’s 20th year of operation. The market’s original location was in the parking lot of the township community center, but it quickly became apparent that it needed greater visibility. Before the end of its first season, the market was relocated to the Depot, where it has remained ever since. Following Tom Neff’s passing in 2016, his son, Charlie Neff, (who provided us with these photos from earlier days) took over operation of the market and has continued his father’s tradition with the help of a dedicated group of volunteers.
