The Oviedo Police Department is proud to announce the launch of our new youth initiative: the Oviedo Police Public Safety Cadets. This program is designed for young individuals who are passionate about their community and interested in learning more about a career in law enforcement and public safety. The Public Safety Cadets program offers participants hands-on experience, leadership development, and the opportunity to serve the Oviedo community alongside our officers. The Police Cadet Program introduces young adults to the world of law enforcement through hands on training, classroom education, and mentorship from experienced police officers. Cadets learn the fundamentals of criminal justice, patrol procedures, traffic control, first aid, and public service.
