My name is Jackie, I design and make embroidered patches. Where did your business name come from? Is there an interesting story behind it? Kabouter is actually Dutch for “Gnome”. My mom and I always loved garden gnomes and she was born in the Netherlands so when it came time to choose a name using a Dutch word just seemed like a great fit! Have you always been passionate about art and design? I have always been a crafty person and I love to sew garments so stepping into embroidery was a fun new adventure. How does the city you live in influence your work?
