Old Fashioned Christmas in Dahlonega is a month long holiday season running from the day after Thanksgiving through the first week of January, organized by the Dahlonega Downtown Business Association's Christmas Committee. It kicks off with the Lighting of the Square on Black Friday, followed by nightly horse drawn carriage rides, live Christmas music at the visitor center, and a Christmas parade through the historic district on December 12.
