Hardy Homesteaders Day

Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Hardy History Association presents the 34th annual Hardy Homesteaders Day from 9:00am to 3:00pm in Loberg Park and along Main Street. Admission and all activities are free. This celebration of Hardy’s 1883 founding will have numerous demonstrations of traditional skills, music by multiple bands on multiple stages, children’s activities, and the tastes of open fire cooking. Demonstrations in most years include spinning, blacksmithing, roping, doll and candle making, butter churning, flint knapping, wood carving and woodstove and Dutch-oven cooking. Contests will include best 1883 costume, best beard, and more! Come join us! If you would like to be a demonstrator call Crystal Gray at 417-280-1003.
