The Mountain Mushroom Festival is a free, family friendly weekend celebrating Appalachian culture in downtown Irvine, Kentucky. Events include a Fungus 5K and 2K race through downtown, a rock, gem and mineral show, a car show, cooking demonstrations at the Mushroom Foodway Stage, and free live music at the Grandstand. Vendor set up for the festival begins the Friday before, from 5 to 8 pm.
