Operating as a farmer owned cooperative since 1939 and on Spruce Street in Lawrence Township since 1948, the Trenton Farmers Market bills itself as New Jersey's oldest continuously running farmers market. Its more than 40 businesses sell Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, Amish meats and poultry, a Polish deli, artisan cheese, baked goods, barbecue, rotisserie chicken, clothing and jewelry, open Thursday through Sunday.
