The City of Riverton is home to a vibrant and ever growing list of annual activities throughout the year. The Spring season holds the Fremont County Spring Carnival, a smaller version of the impressive Fremont County Fair that Riverton hosts later in the summer. You can find events, livestock, a carnival, food and fun every year at this exciting event. This farmers market runs Saturdays from May 30 through October 10, 2026, from 9 to 11:30 in the morning at 505 Main Street in Lander. It has served the local community since 2008 and offers seasonal produce and goods from area vendors.

The Worland-Ten Sleep Farmers Market sets up on Saturdays from about 8 am to 12:30 pm, running mid-July through late September in downtown Worland near 9th Street and Big Horn Avenue. It is run by volunteers with the Washakie County Farmers Market Association and offers fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit, honey, canned goods, eggs, baked breads and scones, meat, ready to eat meals, soaps and crafts such as pottery and jewelry.

“By 2038, Kemmerer will be an attractive community with a diversified economic base where people take pride in their homes, businesses, and environment.” The City of Kemmerer has a strong mayor/city council form of government. The Mayor is elected at-large as are the remaining 6 council members. The Mayor and members of city council serve four-year terms and meet twice a month to conduct City business. They hire a City Administrator to run the day-to-day operations of the City. Five City departments provide public services including (1) Law Enforcement, (2) Public Works, (3) Administrative Services, (4) Community Development, and (5) Recreation & Events.

The High Altitude Farmers Market, organized by Main Street Pinedale, charges vendors a $10 weekly fee for an 8 by 10 foot space and welcomes artisans, produce sellers, prepared food vendors and musicians. It runs on a code of conduct built around kindness, quality and safety for the community it serves in downtown Pinedale.
