Founded over 30 years ago, in Maryland, the Baltimore Bead Society is a regional arts guild composed of bead enthusiasts, creative artists, and jewelry designers. Through our monthly meetings and classes & workshops , our members share our common interests in all forms of beading, varied jewelry-making techniques, and in the history and culture of beading throughout the world. We supply an inclusive, supportive and social environment for all of our programs. Our monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, September through June, at 7:00 pm. All visitors are welcome. If you are interested in attending a virtual meeting, please email the BBS Membership Chair at bbsmemberchair@gmail.com for the meeting link. After two meetings, we hope you will become a member. We are a federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

An arts and craft show featuring over 250 crafts people with their own hand-made products. Howard county crafts spectacular will be featuring too many artists and craftspeople and magic shows.…

The Maryland Alpaca and Fleece Festival is tons of fun for the whole family, from the young ones who can pet the beautiful, soft, and sweet alpacas to adults who can also pet the alpacas to those who like to shop til you drop as well as excellent classes! This event is a great place to start shopping for Holiday gifts, including yourself! We have all of your favorite vendors as well as new ones for yummy yarns, soft fleeces with all the benefits of alpacas, alpaca products, and so much more. As always, there will be raffle baskets of amazing items donated by the vendors as well as interactive demos for all ages because learning about Alpacas is just so fun! The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival's mission is to celebrate and promote sheep and wool through presentations, competitions, and educational opportunities around the diverse range of sheep and wool related products and activities; and to provide a market place for the amazing range of products and services supporting and reflecting the versatility and benefits of sheep production for food and fiber. The Festival is organized and conducted primarily by volunteers from the sheep breeding and fiber arts communities.

The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, held at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, brings together more than 250 vendors, 600 sheep and 40 workshops on fiber arts and shepherding. Visitors can watch sheepdog trials and shearing demonstrations, shop for wool and handmade textiles, and sample fair food such as lamb sandwiches and barbecue.
